Incorrect - Windows 98 did *NOT* have Word - no version of Windows has ever
included Word or any other Office application. You bought a computer and
Word was preinstalled by the vendor/manufacturer.

Sure there's a way to get it back - simply take your credit card for a
stroll down to your local software emporium...

Greetings --

Go to a local shop that sells software, purchase word processor of
choice, take it home, and install it.

Neither the Microsoft Office application suite, nor any of its
individual component applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Outlook, etc.), have _ever_ been "part" of *any* Windows operating
system. They are, and always have been, separate applications, that
must be purchased and installed separately.

Hi Rod. You previously had Word installed on your Windows 98 system. Do you
still have the application on CD. If so just install to XP
