Word / Outlook Compatibility

Andy

We were recently upgraded to a new exchange server, and we
were told to upgrade from Outlook XP to Outlook 2003.
Since upgrading, some of the features do not work when
using Word as the email editor (Auto Type being the most
complained about).

Is this a compatibility issue with Word XP vs Outlook
2003, or am I missing a set up option somewhere?

Thanks

Did you get any response to your question. I am having
the same problem, I upgraded to OUTLOOK 2003 and it will
not let me use WORD 2000 as my editor. I posted a
question on this board and got a CURT answer saying that
I should upgrade to WORD 2003/Office 2003, which is
unsatisfactory as I don't want to spend the money for
EMAIL editing only. If you have received any help please
respond.

The "curt" answer is the correct answer. Either go back to Outlook 2000
or move Word up to 2003.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

That's right, it won't. Outlook 2003 will only use Word 2003 as the editor,
if you wish to use Word at all. There's nothing you can do to change that,
either.
