word outline

friends--no matter how i fool with it, when i try to insert a word outline into powerpoint 2002, only the 1st level heading, & on weird rare occasions, the 2nd level, appear. i've tried promote/demote, zoom, collapse/expand, even highlighting the outline, de-outlining it, & then re-outlining with a different system (1, A, i). it just seems as though there should be an easy solution i can't locate, or am i dreaming? otherwise, i'm stuck with de-outlining it & then cut'n'pasting every blinken section. any ideas? thanks. h.lu

You just need to use styles in your Word doc. PPT relies on these to know
where to put text.

Word Style --> PPT Text
Heading 1-->Title
Heading 2-->Primary bullet
Heading 3-->Secondary bullet

And so on.
