Word lost

When I try to open a Word document or open Word to create a document, all I
get is a blank screen saying "Not Responding". I reinstalled the program but
still the same. ~~~~~Windows XP, Word 2000 , Thanks for any help.

Delete the file normal.dot then try running Word again.

Please try a Word or Office newsgroup where "Word" is spoken fluently.
