Hi, I use Word everyday for my transcription job. I am used to not having to
capitalize the first word of a sentence, as Word was doing it automatically
for me. Suddenly, it stopped for no reason. I have gone into the options
several times and checked the spelling/grammar options and nothing has been
changed, other than I asked it to put 2 spaces after each period. Mine is
set to check only "Grammar" not Grammar and Style.

Why is this doing this and what do I need to check or uncheck to have Word
automatically cap the first word of a sentence? It has never done this
before. Now, it just underlines it in green and comes up in the spellchecker
on each document.

Perhaps they can assist.

It's not under 'Options'.

Tools > Auto Correct > Capitilize First Letter of Sentence

When using Smart Tags there is 'undo' and 'stop this auto correct'. You may
have inadverently clicked on the 'stop this auto correct', which would cause
the problem you're having.
