Word icon in IE toolbar

On my desktop computer there is a MS Office Icon that I can click on to open
the page I am viewing in Word, or Excel. I don't know how it got there but my
husband uses it a lot. Now I also have a laptop and can't figure out how to
get it on my laptop toolbar. Can someone help me with this? Thanks in advance.

Buy a copy of Office and install it.

Do you have Word/Excel installed? That would be the first
requirement. If so, come on back with that info please.

The Word icon in the tool bar means that you selected Word as your Web Site editor.
If you don't want it there, go to Tools - Internet Options - Programs and select NotePad as your Web
Site editor.
You can also delete it with the tool bar options. Right-click on the tool bar and choose options.
On the right side of the next window are the tools installed, on the left side are the tools you can
install.
Note that you can select any existing tool and choose the Remove button to move it to the left side.

Thanks for the replies. FYI - Frank and PopS - I have purchased and installed
Office 2003. I am legal don't worry. Richard, I will change my editor option
and see if that gives me what I want. I knew it had to be something simple I
was missing. If it doesn't work I will be back.
