Hi, Jim,

- On the View menu, select "Header and Footer". The Header and Footer
toolbar should appear.

- Click the fourth button from the right (when the mouse hovers over it, the
tip shows "Switch between header and footer") to move the cursor to the
footer area.

- On the Header and Footer toolbar, click the Insert AutoText button at the
left, and select either "Filename" or "Filename and path" on the dropdown
menu, depending on which you want. If you want the filename centered, type a
tab character to the left of the filename.

- Click the Close button on the toolbar and proceed with the rest of the
document.

If you want the file name on all new documents of a particular type, put the
Filename autotext in the footer of the *template* that you use to create
this kind of document. To prevent problems in other kinds of documents,
don't put it in Normal.dot.

How do i print file name on bottem of document?

Thank you
Jim
.
Click View>Header/footer>Insert auto text>filename.
(Hoping that you understand to start at the menu at the
top named "View," and then keep clicking in the order
given. I don't know if that is common lingo, or just
among people that I know.)
