Does anyone know of any software that will analyze a text and
calculate the relative frequencies of all of the words?

This will do what you want:

click Analyze and the rest is automatic. You not only see
the frequency of words used, but the word count, character
count, unique words ...."

Doc Stats 3.4, free for personal and commercial use under the terms of the
GNU General Public License.

words, sentences, syllables, characters, characters per word, and syllables
per word. Limited word frequency analysis is also performed.
