I have a document edited by someone else. On the screen,
even in preview, it looks fine, but when I print it out,
it's moved far over to the right. This occurs even when
I click on "remove formatting" and try to reset the page
set up. When I try to close the page set up, I get a
message that the margins are outside the printing area
and if I click on "fix" it makes the bottom margin way
too much, like 2.5 inches. It seems like something is
controlling the document that I can't see. Any
suggestions?

Hi Ellie,

Which version of Word do you use?
