Word Form to Outlook oft template

I am trying to take a Word 2003 form and make an Outlook
oft template out of it. Does anyone out there know how to
do this?

The problem is that you have to turn off Word as your
EMail editor to do this and this in turn removes the
features of your Word Form and hence when you turn it back
on once the template is created, the entry fields are
eliminated from the Outlook Template.

Can you say more about what you're trying to do? It's possible to make an Outlook form use a Word .dot template file for its message body layout. But if you have an actual Word document with form fields and you want Outlook to store data from those fields in its properties, then you might as well throw the Word document away and start fresh with your Outlook form, because there's no conversion between the two.

Thanks Sue for responding to my post.

I have a Word form with fields and some checkbox's and I
wanted to save it as a oft file so that when I select a
User form in Outlook I can send it to a user and they can
then fill it out and return it.

Does that make sense?

Sure it makes sense, but you'll have to do as I suggested -- start from scratch on building an Outlook form that looks the same as your Word form.

Either that, or send it to the other user as a Word attachment. In the long run, that might be the easiest solution.
