A form created with word 2002 was sent to me to update,
but I can't see the footer. I found out that this problem
happen because my word version is 2000. How can I
configure these two words to be at least compatible
without having to upgrade.

It should be completely transparent between those two versions. Click
"View", "Header and Footer", then click the "Switch to Footer" icon. can't
you see the footer now?

Also, are you in "Normal" view or "Print layout" view? If you "want to see
what you got" (WYSIWYG), you need to click "View", "Print Layout".

When I click on "view" and "header and footer" on a blank
document, I have the footer icon bar. But when I do the
same thing while the document in question is opened, it
does not display the icon bar and the cursor is moved to
the end of the page that's all.

Not sure why you are getting this response. One thing you can try to do is
to press CTRL-A to select all, press CTRL-C to copy everything, click the
"new" document icon, press CTRL-V to paste everything, then check out the
Footer. If that doesn't work and you want to send me the document, I will
check it out.

You can send it to (e-mail address removed) (if you get my drift).

Is your form protected for forms? If so, unprotect it to view / edit the
header or footer.
