word error

I'm running office 2000 on a XP machine.....when I open
word I get this message "changes have been made thar
affect the globaal template, normal. Do you want to save
these changes?" If I hit yes the window closes out of
word back to my desk top.....if I hiit no the same thing
happens...the only way is to cancel. My question what
must I do to make this message stop poping up... or work
with it.

Mac

Search for the Normal.dot file and when found, delete the file. You will
lose the default format options used when you open Word, but it should clear
the problem.
