Word Doc. for web site

I have web sites with Homestead. Prior to getting Windows
XP with the latest Publisher and Word programmes I used to
copy a doc. from Publisher to Word, save in Word then
upload it to the web site so others could print off the
form. When I do this now following exactly the same steps
and then publish the new page on the web site, people can
change the text in the document around. This never
happened before. The text boxes remain open and other
people can mess it up! How do I save in Word so that the
form cannot be altered on the web site?
 
Sounds like you used to save the Word document as HTML; but you're now
saving the documents as Word documents. So users with Word can edit the
documents; users without Word can't use the document at all.
 
In my previous version of Word I just saved the doc as a
Word Doc and then just imported that Word doc to the web
site. I can still do the same thing BUT other users can
muck around with the Word doc. on the site and I don't
want them to do that.
How can I save Word Doc. (in 95 version) so others can't
change the document??
