Word Doc Command Gltiches

I’m having trouble with some Microsoft word docs. From time to time, I run
into a annoying glitch. I’ll click to, say - center a line, or change font or
color on one word, and when I execute the command, Bam - the entire document
will take on the executed edit change, everything will center, or change
font, or change color (depending on the command). To fix it, I simply I hit
the un-do, and the doc restores just fine and whatever particular change I
was trying to make has been properly executed. But the process is time
consuming, annoying and obviously indicating something program-wise is wrong.
What’s going on? How do fix-it?

2nd Issue: When I start inserting Icons, pictures, etc. into my docs, after
a while, after a few saves, the size of the saved files radically begins to
increase (Rich Text Format or Word Doc type save doesn’t seem to matter). A 2
page doc goes from say, 100 or so kb (small) to a, wham! 1,000 kb to 5,000
to Bam! 20,000 kb doc. What’s going on? Obviously some sort of extra (hidden)
stuff is doubling, tripling exponentially. How do I fix this?

You should post this in a Word newsgroup since your issues are with that
application, not your operating system. Here's a list of all the MS
newsgroups so you can find the one for Word. The experts there can help
you.

You should post this to a word group but have you tried a detect and
repair? try it from word first, if that doesn't work, try it for all
of office. hope this helps
