I am wanting to put shading on my letterhead. Word art seems to be woefully
lacking in options for this stuff. Is this my imagination or am I not looking
in the correct area? I previous versions of Word, Word Art was fairly robust
unless I am thinking of WordPerfect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
mojr

Word Art is there. See Insert > Picture > WordArt
Also you can insert a Text Box without a border but with shading. What,
exactly, are you trying to do?

Hello Charles,
I am trying to create letterhead and I wanted to use shadowing. The default
Word art option does not show up very well. I was hoping to be able to adjust
the shading.
Thanks,

Hi Jim,

There isn't one default WordArt option -- there are 25 of them in the
gallery. Pick any of them, enter your text, select the WordArt, and
then use either of the last two tools at the right end of the Drawing
toolbar. One makes a shadow behind flat lettering and allows you to
pick its color and its offsets; the other gives you 3D rendering with
extensive control over shape, orientation, surface type, color,
lighting direction... What more do you want?

There are all sorts of shadowing choices available. I have a shadowing
toolbar, but I think it may be one I created from the available commands.

Easy grandma, don't get your pantyhose in knot!! If I knew the answer to the
question I posted, I would have had no reason to ask it, correct? Thanks
anyway.
