My daughter was using word and wordart and somehow she changed the settings so now when I want to work in word and I go to print preview I see what she had been working on. I have unistalled and reinstalled office and the problem still exists.

In addition to Graham's link to fixing your normal.dot template, you might
want to consider always working in "Print Preview" so you will always see
graphics and objects included in your document. "Normal" view only shows
text (which is great when you are working in a large document and don't want
scrolling to be slowed down by all of your graphics. I'm kind of partial to
the WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) view.

If you switch to "Normal" view (under the "View" menu), and close out Word
that way, you will come back in it. Keep in mind that documents that are
saved and closed in a particular view will re-open that way and if you close
Word out after opening one of the documents in "Normal" view, it will
re-open in Normal view. Obviously a matter of preference, but I like to see
where I am on the page, margin settings, etc.

I think Bill means Print Layout view rather than Print Preview.

You can actually edit in Print Preview, though it is not the best plan to
work in that view.

It is a surprise to most people that you can edit in Print Preview. In order
to do so, you have to disable the Magnifier so that the mouse functions as
it does in other views. At one time this was very dangerous for reasons I
don't precisely recall--seems like there was no blinking cursor, so you
didn't know where the insertion point was. Apparently this has been fixed
somewhere along the line.
