In one of my websites, I need to use some fancy text, like you can produce
in Microsoft Word Art. But Word Art only seems to work in IE, not in
Netscape or Firefox.
Is there a program that can make large outlined text (like you can see at
http://awakea.com/test/default3.htm) that will work in all browsers? It
would be OK with me if it would make a .gif of the text. It doesn't need to
do text on curves etc, like Word Art does.
Thanks for the help!

You can make WordArt in Word and save them as screen captures ... probably
gifs. Adjust in you image editing program, optimize and IMPORT them into
your site's image's file.

One more comment... FireworksMX 2004 from Macromedia would be excellent (but
expensive) for your needs.

Insert the word art in Frontpage as you want it, then take a screenshot
(PrintScrn) and paste into your graphics editor. crop the image and save as
a jpg or gif, then import the image into Frontpage web and insert it in the
page. Delete the original word art object - use the jpg image instead.
