Word and Explorer

Dear Microsoft,
from some months ago I have one problem with my Win2000
Professional. Every time, when I open Word after few
second appare one message 'winword.exe cause an error, the
application must be close' and the application go down.
Same think with iexplorer.exe but with out any application
opened, I mean no internet explorer in use.
Can I change only the file of Word an Explorer without the
re-installation of all?

wondering if you received any helpful replies?
