Word 97

On an old computer I LOVED working with Word 97. On this
new one all I have is Works Word Processor. Anyway I can
get Word back?... or this is a product I need to buy?

Dig out the CD holding Word 97 (or Office 97) and install it. You can
keep Works on the machine, or you can delete it. It's a different
product.

If you can't find your Word CD, then you'll have to buy another (on
eBay?). Or buy the current version, Word 2003/Office 2003.

Word is not (nor ever) part of the operating system.

Works comes in several different packages and some of those include a copy
of MS Word. Check your start menu carefully. You may be overlooking a
shortcut for MS Word. If no go, see Rob's answer.
