Word 97 and Excel 97 Defualt save location

I am trying to configure the save location for all my excel and word
docs to a home directory, not the roaming profile. I know how to
change it for myself, but I need to be able to have the same setting
for everyone who logs on. I have found the registry key under HK
Current User, but cannot find anything else in the registry to change
for all users. HELP. Thanks
 
Just export the edited registry setting and merge it with
the user's profile when they logon. In your logon script,
just add this:

regedit OfficeHack.reg

Or run the Application Compatibility Script for Office97. That
will not only fix the location for the Save command, but also give
users their own template directory, own dictionaire and much more.
