Anup Tawde said:And if it is not a paragraph mark and you are still getting that back slash
while opening new word documents, follow these steps and it should work:
- Start>Run>Type winword /safe (this will open word in safe mode
without loading your Normal.dotm template)
- Click on Office button at upper left>click on "Open"
- In Open box where you see "File Name" box type %appdata% hit Enter
key
- you will see list of folders from where you will have to go to Microsoft
folder>Templates folder
- There you will find "Normal.dotm", open it (If you are getting any
"~$Normal.dotm", ignore it
- After opening Normal.dotm, remove that BACK SLASH
- Hold down SHIFT key and click on office button and then click on "Save All"
- Close word completely and reopen it
- Back slash should not be there
