If you found Manage Styles then the Recommend tab has what you are looking
for. Use the Move Up/Move Down buttons to place them in a recommended order.
You can also use the "Assign value" command and type a number for priority.
For example if you want Body Text to appear before other styles then set it
as Priority 1.
To make your modified styles the default you can either use the "New
Documents based on this template" option in the Manage Styles dialog box or
create a new Quick Style Set and set it as your default. For the latter,
after you have modified the styles, on the Home tab, in the Styles group,
click Change Styles, point at Style Set, then click "Save as Quick Style
Set". Then click Change Styles again and click "Set as Default".
