Word 2003

I've just installed MS Office Pro 2003 and have the
following issue. Any time I open up Outlook or Word and
try to exit out of it the following message appears.

"The file Normal.dot already exists. Do you want to
replace the existing file?"

In the previous version I was never asked to save or
resave over the normal.dot template file. How can I not
have this message pop up every time I close Word or
Outlook?

If not, try to uninstall and reinstalled Norton Antivirus if you have one on your machine

Andre,

Your advice to the OP is like advising someone to remove the batteries from
their smoke alarm because it keeps going off for some unexplained reason. I
don't know why this person is having the problem they are and I am afraid
that you don't either. I thought I read somewhere that you had agreed to
test your proposed solutions first?

Try this, save it, when the Save As dialog appears go to "Tools > Save
Options > uncheck the "Prompt to save Normal template" box.
