When I put in numbers, I hit return they change to ### won't go back to
numbers. How do I change it to be numbers?

When you put the numbers in where? If you mean typed numbers change to #
characters, check whether some wag has added autocorrect entries to change
numbers to #.

If it's a big number, try to make the column wider.

Err that only applies to Excel.....Word should just wrap the number because
Word does not recognise numbers unless they are in a formatted table
cell...AFAIK.....
