So? Keep the frames!
Seriously, what is the question?
Also, do you mean frames the way Word means it (I.e. from the form toolbar)?
I ask this because you quoted the word frame in your post, as if those
"things" weren't really frames...
I sense you want to ask "How can I remove the frames but keep the text as it
is?"
If that is the case, then it is very difficult to answer! It is hard for
anyone (at least to me) to answer without knowing more about the layout of
your text on the page... frames can be tricky!
Here is an example of what I mean:
I bet you have text in fames that are side by side, of course, if you remove
the frame, the text does not sit side by side anymore, but run as normal
Word text does, trying to rebuild it the way it was when using frames is
possible, but very involved. So, the big question is: Is it worth the
effort, I mean removing the frames?
Tell us more about your layout and why you want to remove the frames, if
that is what you want to do! Don't be shy... type away! ;-)

Cheers!

Win XP Home, Word 2003. Scanned a document, retaing the formatting and
saved in . rtf format. When trying to use Word to edit, all the text is in
'frames'. removing the 'frame' repositions the text, ie losess all the
formatting
