Word 2002

I am new to "Word 2002". When I open a file from Wordpad"
in "Word 2002" and it is only one page, "Word" add more
blank pages to the opened page.
Is there an option that I need to set to prevent this?.

There is no option to control this. It's probably as a result of multiple
empty paragraphs being inserted at the end of the text




like that. If you click on the Show/Hide ¶ button, you will see them and
can select and delete them.
