I tried to install the 2002 Word on my XP. Would work.
Referred to some registry problem. What do I do?

Hi,

Run this command sfc /scannow.

This should restore missing xp files if necessary.

Now try to install Word 2002. If it doesnt work try the installation on another pc to make sure that the CD is not corrupt.

What problem, what type of WORD CD (upgrade, retail full,
OEM)?

Please help us to help you. Exactly what did you do? I assume by
"would work," you mean "wouldn't work," but what does that mean?
What happened when you tried? If you got an error message, please
quote it verbatim. "Referred to some registry problem" isn't good
enough.
