Word 2002 Using / Saving and Viewing Versions

Versions saving comment box displays and I can type in it, but not sure if any versions are being saved as there is no information displayed about them in the version saving dialog. Since no info is displayed also cannot view any versions.

versions.This feature is not particularly stable, I don't recommend it.

FWIW, when I use File/Versions/Save Version - and actually save the file - I
afterwards see an entry in the list (File/Versions). If you're not seeing
that, then I suspect the document (or maybe the template from which it was
created) may be damaged.
