Word 2002 Comments

Hello All,

Prior to Word 2002, when viewing a document in print layout view, comments
appeared highlighted in yellow.

In Word 2002 they seem to appear only with braces [ ] around them -- which
do not stand out in the document.

Can they be modified to display highlighted in yellow in Word 2002? I can't
find any info on this in Help...

Hi Laura,

No, sorry, I don't think there's anything you can do about it.
In Word 2003, it was kind of changed back (to highlighted plus braces).

If you use the comment balloons (Tools > Options > Track changes > Use
balloons), it's not quite as bad...
But usually, I'd prefer to use the comment pane instead of balloons.

The comment feature in Word 2002 looks quite a mess to me.
Another big problem I have with it is that the comment I'm editing in the
comment pane isn't scrolled into view in the document pane.

Thanks.

The problem I have with the "use balloons" feature is that I don't want
balloons for the tracked changes insertions/deletions! It seems as though
they went backwards w/ the comments feature in 2002. Oh well!
