Word 2000

Just upgraded to Vista on a new computer. I loaded Office 2000. Excel and
Powerpoint work fine, but I am having problems with Word. It hangs up at the
Word logo screen.
Help, any suggestions.

Have you tried updating with the latest service pack?

I thought only Word XP, 2003 & 2007 were supported in Vista.


You be better off posting this issue to the Word newsgroup

microsoft.public.word
 
According to other people who have written in this newsgroup, Office 97 and
2000 also work on Vista.

Probably true -- but as a test, I just did an install of Office 2000
Small Business -- just the Word and Excel pieces -- SP1 -- Word starts
right up.
