I was wondering if there is any software, freeware wise that would suffice
for doing home woodworking projects, ie, bookcases, dressers, hutches,
anything made of wood.

I want to be able to design a piece from scratch and be able to view it
possible in 2D or 3D, most likely some sort of CAD program, but I have
tried CAD Standard Lite, Free CAD and Minos, and I do not like any of those
for what I am after.

I own 3D Home Architect Deluxe but I can not do what I want with soffits,
hehe, but I love the interface of 3D Home Architect Deluxe.

Any suggestions please answer here or e-mail:

Usenet is for sharing ideas, not doing things via email. If you don't
check back to this group, you won't know that I made this suggestion
(unless somebody else tells you.)

Try Turbocad LE (NOTE THE *LE*) (registerware):

I just downloaded it and the manuals/tutorials yesterday and the
program looks real nice. Now to figger it out.
