Everytime I try to update, it tells me that it cannot
detect an internet connection. I have a cable modem.
Why won't it update? And is there anyway to download the
updated files and put them in the right folders myself?

Ensure that your web browser (Internet Explorer)or
(Outlook Express) is on line. Open IE, click File and
ensure that Work Off line is not checked.

Haha, It's online, lawd not that much of a noob!
Everything works internet-wise. All my internet programs
work and everything.

Just, everytime I try to update, says can't find a
connection.

shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware from the notification area, uninstall
Microsoft AntiSpyware, navigate to c:\program files and delete the Microsoft
AntiSpyware folder, restart the system, then install Microsoft AntiSpyware
to a non-default location such as c:\msas.

Download the latest build again (614) and install it to that non-default
location:

It's likely that IE is marked as 'Work Offline'. Open IE,
click on File, untick Work Offline, close. Retry Update.
