won't update to 5711, locks up.

Running XP with ZoneAlarm on a local peer to peer network.
Anti Spyware downloaded and runs fine until I try to check
for updates. Then it hangs while trying to download the
5711 definitions. This happens on 2 different machines in
the building. I have permitted all suggested applications
in ZoneAlarm. Thanks for any help. -Chris
 
Zone Alarm was blocking my updates too, but I allowed it completely to
access the Internet. Zone Alarm kept on blocking other programs and I had to
uninstall it.
 
Well, I just gave approval to MSAS to access the Internet, but Zone Alarm is
so complex and cofusing I just had to uninstall it and stick to the Windows
Firewall.

I have the exact same problem.I just go to add-remove

and delete it all then reinstall and it will work fine.I
think this "hang" problem is a bug.It has happened to me
a couple of times
