Won't startup when I reboot

This program won't startup automatically when I reboot. I've checked the
option for it to do so, and I have everything else checked. I've when to
"run" and did "msconfig" and it's not under the startup folder. Any ideas
about how to make it startup automatically after reboot?

On my system it is started by this comand:

HKLM\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

D:\Program Files\Microsoft Antispyware\gcasServ.exe

I won't recommend hand-editing the registry.

Instead, I think I'd try the route of Control Panel, add or remove programs,
Microsoft Antispyware, Change, Update.

Lets see if that restores the automatic run command.

Why not navigate to your Startup folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

and create a short cut to gcasServ.exe.

That should take care of the issue, but it might be harder for the novice
user to manage. Additionally, a later reinstall or update of the program
might fix the original issue, and leave you with two startup locations. I'm
not sure what the effect of that would be, but as a minimum it would result
in an error message at startup which would be a cause of confusion.
