My computer worked fine 8 hours ago but wont POST this morning.

you cant POST?

Probably means nothing. Do you get any beeps from the mainboard when you
first try to POST? If NOT (and maybe if so) you are probably looking at a
bad power supply. -Dave

I did a few more little tests... Openned up the case and unplugged some
stuff, tightened some other stuff.. etc.... I notice when I first press
the power button the CPU fan will whirl for about 1-2 seconds then
stop.... if I press the power button again nothing happens..... but if
I unplug the PSU, then replug it... and I press the power button.. the
CPU fan whirls for 1-2 secs then stops.... etc etc

So.... I've got it narrowed down to either the PSU being dead or a
short circut. I really dont think this system short circuted
overnight... It worked 8 hours ago... so Im thinking 75% chance its the
PSU being dead....

Agree??? :-)
