I am running windows XP Pro with all the latest updates
to XP and IE, my problem is that i took my computer to
work to update due to a fast connection as apposed to
dial up, but now when i connect to the net via dial up i
cannot view web pages, it connects but that is as far as
it goes, there is no ip addresses or network names or
anything like that, i have tried disabling internet
firewall (built in microsoft one) and setting to us dial
up connection only, i have tried different modems and
different internet account yet i get the same problem

Please if you can help, i am really lost for ideas

Tools | Internet Options | Connections
Which radio button is selected for Dial-Up?
