Hello,

I turned on my PC today and got this message:

Windows could not start because the following file is
missing or corrupt:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

I know there is a way to reinstall the files because i
called Tech support and they replaced the files before. I
was on hold way to long and thought i would try here.

I am in the RECOVERY CONSOLE in WIN-XP-HOME and I'm at the
C:\WINDOWS> prompt what do i type from there?

This is what the tech said he did: Swap system HIVE from
the repair folder to the CONFIG folder. Hope this helps!

Thanks
RAY
