wont install virtual earth

when i click install and the box comes up showing install status, it
instantly says installation failed check log. Why, what do i do

i have ie 7 but cant find that section so i posted here

Please try the IE7 group.
The recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:
