Won't allow edit

When I open up a form to edit, it works just fine. However, when I open up a
this form with another form, the form opened can't be edited. Any background
red flags I need to Know about. How can I end this?

I don't know what you mean when you say "when I open up a this form with
another form". Are you opening the form from a command button on the
other form? If so, is the code behind the button opening the form in
read-only mode? Post the code.
