Ok ... some way or some how, I've ended up with Arial "serif". It's not
listed in my fonts (in control panel), yet it exists as a font in Front Page
(when I click the list of fonts). My default font (I thought) was Arial,
but when I type new text, it's a serif font, and it's making me crazy. How
to do get rid of this serif version of Arial. I've run out of ideas.

Thank you so much, if you can help. Diana

Arial is a san-serif font, there is no serif verion of arial (well, who
knows?? but seriously doubt it). Where are you seeing this in FrontPage?

I know that Arial is san-serif which is why I describe it as wonky ...
something is a-miss.
I'll get it to happen again and send you a capture of it.

Tis weird.
Open Word and try to use it on something, see if it will print.

You can uninstall fonts from within the Fonts folder.

I wonder if Italic is considered serif...nah, that'd be weird too.

You may want to check with the fonts ng and see what someone over there has
to say about this before uninstalling it.

| Ok, here it is in the font dialogue box ... second font in the list that
you
| see below.
| I don't know how it exists, but when it's selected, the font is definitely
| serif style. I want to get rid of it.

By the way, that font does not show up anywhere else ... not in word and not
in fonts (control panel), so I don't see a way to uninstall it. I was doing
something again with fonts and sure'nuff, there it was again, Arial (Serif).
I'll post to the font newsgroup. It must be under windows (maybe not). I'll
look for it. I've been trying to set the default font, but man ... is that a
push to do or what. Sure wish I could get that to work.

Thanks for your thought. Diana

When you go to format the text in Design view, right click and look at
the list for fonts, you'll see Arial (serif), but if you scroll up the
list 1 or 2, you'll see the san serif selection. Pick it and go with
it. You can eliminate the problem by using style command in the header
that sets san serif for the body section.
