Windows XP .wmv files

I put on all my camcorder videos onto my laptop under WMM and theysaved as .wmv files, then i purchased pinnacle 9. The problem is that i can't seem to get .wmv videos to work on pinnacle. Does anyone know how to do this, your help would be much appreciated.
 
i dont think that software works for wmv files

i think u will have to convert the files to mpeg then use pinnacle!
 
if you used windows movie maker, re-save the files as follows

Playback for "my computer" > select destination > under other settings "DV-AVI"
 
I have Pinnacle and no, it won't read wmv files.

Try recapturing the footage using Pinnacle and using mp3 format for audio.
