wmv file locking up after starting to play

I converted a VOB file to wmv so that I could insert the movie file into my
presentation. It is set to play automatically, and it does; however the
movie stops playing about 3 seconds into it. The entire program doesn't lock
up - I am able to stop the slide show. But I can't figure out why the movie
won't continue playing. It plays fine in Windows Media Player - should I
call that program up though a macro instead? Might my system lack the
"strength" necessary to run it? It sounds like my PC is working hard when it
starts to play....

I am using Power Point 2003, and my presentation size is 5.7MB.

Thank you!! Jenny

How big is the WMV file? It may be that it's quite large (if it's an entire
VOB file, it probably *is* quite large, too), and your computer is bogging
down as PPT tries to play the file. After all, when you play a video through
PPT, you have both PPT and the video file sucking up resources.

You might see if PFCMedia helps, though. There's a fully functional trial
version at http://www.pfcmedia.com
