The wmpnetwk.exe process is stopping me from 'safely removing' my freecom
usb drive. Googling came up with this
http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/How-can-disable-ctfmon-wmpnetwk-exe-t171744.html
The first fix isn't an option as the process doesn't even seem to be
there?!?!?.
The second......
If the above doesn't work, you can disable those processes in "services"
1) go to start menu --> click run
2) type services.msc
3) scroll and find "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service"
4) right click and choose "properties"
5) In the "general" tab, change the startup type to "disable"
6) Ensure the "service status" is stopped.
I notice there is the option to 'manually' start the service but there are
'dependencies that could be affected. If i did this would i then start it
again via 'services'? All i want to do is be able to 'safely remove' the
drive and one option was to disable the usb drive via device manager. Would
this be the same as 'safely removing' albeit
manually?
Thanks
