I tried reinstalling/repairngs windows xp as well as
WMP9. I play something, and the program will halt or
freeze-up, but it will continue to play the media. If I
end the program (because it is useless being all frozen
up) and send out error reports, windows tells me that
Kazaa and Winamp have there own, undefined reasons for
crashing, but when I send an error report for WMP,
windows says nothing back (because microsoft products
dont cause problems, right?).
So I get in event viewer that there was an event
1002 [category (101)]
and
1001
both are some kind of Application Hang error.
Is there anyway to trace this error to figure out what
exactly it is that causes my media players to hang? This
really sucks, and I dont know how to fix it, and
microsoft wont tell me anything.
Does this sound like it might be related to the Windows
Audio service?
Thanks.
