WMP 11

Since upgrading from WMP 10 to WMP 11, I noticed in My Documents folder, my
WMV WAV icons have changed, and when I send something to friends, they
cannot open the file. Can these icons be changed back to the originals.
Also, on those PPS files, I CAN open them, but my friends cannot.
Any suggestions, please. And thank you ahead of time
 
PPS file: A friend told me she cannot open PPS files. Can anybody tell
me what kind of file that is?
