I put in a DVD and follow the VERY simple Instructions I found on the
Internet - Nothing. I have WMP 11 open and the DVD loaded and it is spinning.
I look and look for ways to get this to play - it just won't - on any DVD's.
No messgaes no nothing.

What "Compatible DVD decoder software" do you have installed?

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/plugins.aspx#DVDDecoder

Out of the box - Windows Media Player 11 does not play DVDs in Windows XP
(which I assume - given where you posted - you have.)

From the link above... Pay attention to this link:

Good luck and come back to let us know if that helped!

XP won't play DVDs "out of the box" - try using the free VLC Media Player
(https://videolan.org/vlc/) - it'll happily play just about any other media
file type you care to throw at it, as well.
