WMM won't capture video from DV camcorder

I have a Canon ZR500 miniDV camcorder. WMM recognizes that it's plugged in
and everything. When I go to capture video, it rewinds the video, but just
when it's about to switch to "capture video" mode or whatever, a popup comes
up saying that an "unknown error has occured". I have no idea what to do..I
REALLY need help!!! Anyone with any knowledge about capturing video on WMM is
free to answer.

Just wondering...are you using the
FireWire IEEE 1394 connection?

Nancy writes--I use a 1394--it will reweind the tape but then it comes up not
recognizing the camcorder or it will say another program is using it. Help
