wmm version for vista?

hi
I had window movie maker version 6.0.6000.16386. on new computer with vista
home premium, which worked ok.
I think i must have upgraded, anyhow found version 2.6.4037.0 on the
computer as well.
However this has two problems,
1.the two versions corrupt each others imported media/collections
2. the 4037 version, which appears newer, puts each video file in a separate
collection.

can anyone tell me whether i should be using the 4037 version or not and how
to correct it, or should i just uninstall the 4037 version?

I only get onto the net every 2 weeks , so apologies if the answer is
obvious, but i have been reading the newsgroup off line and cant see anyone
with similar problem.

If you can run version 6, you do not need
version 2.6.

Movie Maker 2.6 is for systems that cannot
run version 6....have a look at the following

many thanks to you both for this. I have now uninstalled the 2.6.version.
Its really a great help to have you giving advice. cheers i will see how
this goes.

i hope this sends cos i am having problems with windows mail! any
suggestions on which email prog to use that does multiple ids cos pegasus
seems to be having touble and so too thunderbird, but it could be me of
course.!
