I created a two minute clip to put up on my website. It is 625 mgs!

I just recordred it, saying I wanted a SMALL VIDEO. Then I was about to convert that to AVI, but it would have been over 800 mgs!!

HELP.

How can I get a nice small file, for my website?

Save the file as WMV rather than AVI. This will reduce the file size tremendously.

You can further reduce the file size by choosing settings that make the playback size smaller. The DV-AVI setting in Movie Maker saves your video at 720x480, choosing something like Video for broadband (320x240) creates a video with approximately half the viewing size.

It's also important to consider who will be viewing your movie. If you are sharing with dial-up users, you may want to consider the video for ISDN or video for Dial-up settings to make the video even smaller.

Hi Lilly,

It look like your website is an Apple/Quicktime site, which needs movie in
the MOV type.... you would need to use other software to convert the WMV to
an MOV, or use a different web server.
