I have searched all over the web, and haven't found this problem mentioned.
I have 2 computers (work & home) that both appear to have developed the same
problem at the same time. One is XP Pro, and one is XP Home. Both are SP3
and WMP 11.
The problem is that after I capture a video, if I split the clip, the first
portion plays fine, but the second clip sits there for a few seconds, then
the time begins to increment, audio plays, but the video is frozen. If I
select another spot in the clip I see the video at the new spot, but it never
changes after I click Play.
Is it possible that one of the miscellaneous updates that have been pushed
out lately could have caused the problem? WMM worked fine about 3 weeks ago
on BOTH machines.
